Great Place to Work

It’s official – Lindum is a Great Place to Work!

We have recently been certified by Great Place To Work; the global authority on workplace culture.

Workplace culture isn’t just about the free food and ping pong tables nor is it how great the company is, but more about how employees feel at work and the organisations guiding values and attitudes. Lindum is a great place to work because its people are great.

Here at Lindum, we live and breathe our 6 core values; respect, enthusiasm, teamwork, loyalty, integrity and  honesty.

Teambuilding plays a big part in how we operate, with whole team meetings every week to share highlights and plans for the week. On a bigger scale, we did some networking with our sister company Quickbox last month where we split the Sales team into smaller teams and had a spaghetti and marshmallow structure building competition. You can have a look at the final outcomes here.

The team works well together to achieve targets and hit company goals rather than all being focussed on personal goals which shows that they enjoy working collectively to smash common goals. This is also visible in the way the team support each other – birthdays are a time for team celebrations, usually with cake and gifts, all employees are free to have 1:2:1 conversations with each other and their line managers and if a problem arises, the whole team gets involved to resolve it.

As one employee said ‘The reason I love working at Lindum is that any employee has the right to suggest and implement ideas which they think will benefit the company which gives everyone scope to get involved. A recent initiative set on in this way was the Employee of the Month system. This is where everyone votes at the end of the month for a colleague who they think has gone above and beyond and has strongly portrayed the Lindum values. I love this as it pushes everyone to do the best they can do and encourages employees to look out for the good things their colleagues are doing so they can give some positive recognition’.

Recent opportunities for improvement included an office refurb which has been implemented and nearing completion in nearly 2 months which we can already see the benefits of. A fresh coat of paint leaves the office looking tidier and cleaner and boosts moods. We also made a change to the variety of working environments too and created some individual working spaces where employees can go to concentrate in a focusses zone. This has shown so many advantages already being as employees know they can be trusted to work where they want, when they want, to get the job done. This refurbishment coincided with an update of our Innovation Centre too, where staff and customers can go to collaborate and discuss solutions to problems and brainstorm developments without disturbing the focusses office environment.

Head over to our Meet the Team page where you can put faces to names of all our great employees.
