Our Journey

Our Story

Supplying companies within the food, beverage and FMCG industries. The way is upward still.

  • 1999

The Sellars family purchased Lindum Tape Supplies from the widow of a well known industry expert in the tape and printing industry to keep the business operating.

  • 2003

We started to expand our packaging product range beyond tapes and hired our first recruits in the sales team, many of which are still with us today.

    2003

  • 2005

Having established our place in the packaging market, we introduced our new slogan ‘not only tapes’.

  • 2006

Following a period of sustained growth Lindum Tape Supplies became Lindum Integrated Packaging Systems. After analysing the market we realised something was missing in the packaging industry, and that was the expertise and technical knowledge to keep packaging operations running smoothly and efficiently. To serve our customers beyond just packaging supplies we introduced our new service – the LIPS survey, which is now known as our packaging audit.

    2006

  • 2013

We had become laser focused in serving FMCG, food and beverage manufacturers. We knew we could make a massive difference to their operations with their packaging and these sectors are still a priority today. Feedback from our top customers was that “Our production can’t stop and Lindum doesn’t let us down”. As a result, we updated our slogan to ‘production can’t stop’.

  • 2015

Time for a major rebrand. Our logo was outdated and customers expected more from us. We became Lindum Packaging and introduced the green arrow to symbolise a company continually moving forward in an ever changing world through a seamless, consistent customer experience.

    2015

  • 2018

We introduced the slogan ‘Delivering Less’. We were saving customers thousands of pounds by reducing the amount of stretch film they were using to wrap their pallets. Less packaging materials, less plastic waste, less costs, less CO2 emissions but more stable pallets.

  • 2021

We launched the UK’s first Mobile Pallet Stability Test Lab to help our customers identify the root cause of pallet instability and movement in transport causing damage to goods. And with it another slogan change to ‘Packed with Innovation’, to truly represent the continuous innovation in bringing new products and services to the packaging industry.

    2021

  • 2023

Continuing our quest for continuous innovation Lindum opened the Innovation Centre. A space where our packaging specialists work in collaboration with our customers to develop new packaging solutions and run offsite packaging trials to avoid operational downtime.

Lindum Packaging are on the path to a more sustainable future, both internally and with our customers.

Our commitment to sustainability

As well as holding ourselves to the necessary national and international industry standards, we also pride ourselves on our commitment to sustainability.

As a company we are working towards being Net Zero by 2025 and hold Ecovardis, SBTI and ISO1401 accreditations. But we don’t stop there, we also help our customers reduce their carbon footprint by reducing plastic waste, reducing virgin plastic usage and offsetting carbon emissions.
