Pallet stability improvement for FMCG manufacturers | Lindum

Understand why your pallets move. Test the right change.

Load movement can lead to damaged goods, rejected deliveries and time spent repacking. Getting to the cause gives your team a clearer basis for deciding what to change.

Lindum helps consumer goods manufacturers investigate pallet stability using on-site testing, controlled wrapping trials and ongoing process monitoring.

Pallet Test
Where to start

Start with the problem your team needs to solve

We start by understanding the load, its journey and the result your team needs.

  1. 01Leaning loads, damaged goods or rejected deliveries.
  2. 02Transit trials that show a failure without explaining its cause.
  3. 03Extra wrapping added without evidence that it solves the problem.
  4. 04A packaging reduction that needs stability testing before rollout.
  5. 05Variation between the approved wrapping setup and everyday production.
On-site testing

See where movement begins

Our Mobile Pallet Stability Test Lab brings controlled testing to your site.

Inside the vehicle, a deceleration bench simulates emergency-stop-type forces. Specialist camera tracking records movement and deformation, helping us investigate how the load behaves and where instability begins.

We test the current configuration to establish a baseline. After developing a proposed change, we re-test under comparable conditions to assess whether it meets the agreed success criteria.

The findings relate to the pallet configuration and conditions tested, giving your team a defined basis for its decision.

Development

Develop the wrapping setup away from the live line

Our Formulation Truck contains a separate pallet wrapping machine fitted with Kontrol4.0.

It allows us to compare films and settings on your real loads without using the live production line for the initial development work. Kontrol4.0 records film use and cost per pallet during those trials.

Working alongside the separate test lab, we can develop the wrap, measure material use and test pallet stability.

The proposed setup then moves into the agreed validation process on your production equipment.

DMAIC framework

Follow a clear improvement plan

We run pallet stability projects using DMAIC: Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control

Define what your operation needs

Meet with your team to understand the application.

Measure the current performance

Review the current process and establish a baseline.

Analyse the options

Select the option best suited to your application.

Improve through a practical trial

Complete the trial and gather feedback.

Control the agreed standard

Maintain the agreed standard over time.

Kontrol4.0

Keep the wrapping standard visible after rollout

A successful trial establishes a setup to maintain in production.

Kontrol4.0 tracks film use, cost per pallet, wrap consistency and machine performance. Historical data, comparisons and alerts help your team identify changes across lines, shifts and sites.

Stability is established through separate testing. Kontrol4.0 monitors the wrapping process that supports the tested standard.

Get in touch

Talk through your pallet stability priorities

A short Teams conversation is a chance to explain the issue, share what you already know and discuss whether testing would help.

We can start with one load, one line or an upcoming packaging review.
